Farm and Domestic Animal Rescue Efforts
FARM and DOMESTIC ANIMAL RESCUE EFFORTS (FDAR)
The Marlee Foundation has donated funding for the veterinary care of rescued farm animal. The Barn Sanctuary in Chelsea, MI has rescued over 130 farm animals and provided them with a clean, safe living space and in many cases made significant efforts to heal or correct health issues. Prosthetics are created for some of these animals to allow them to move around under their own power and integrate with other animals. In some cases surgery is required to correct various issues. An extensive dose of love and care is provided to all the animals helping them overcome neglect or anxiety and allowing them to make new friends.
The creativity of this group of people is amazing and it is an honor to support these folks. The Barn Sanctuary also created a season of 12 TV episodes, entitled Saved by the Barn, giving a great insight into their work, personalities, challenges and the individual animals. It is well worth the time to check these shows out - we are sure you will have a favorite. In addition the Marlee Foundation also donates to various domestic animal rescues in eastern Massachusetts and Nevada to provide assistance with veterinary care. |
