UNDOUBTEDLY, our current military capabilities is significantly weaker compared to the recent past. This weakness is primarily due to the lack of leadership and rests solely on the back of the current White House administration. This administration demonstrates incompetence when engaging in conflicts. They intentionally purge our strong and usher in the woke and the weak and they lack the courage to stand up to our enemies. This lack of leadership results in a weaker US military and military capabilities compared to the recent past.
Before this administration, we had a leader that rebuilt and replenished our military in every way. While not perfect, Trump always had our service members backs and gave them what they needed to get the job done. The recent past administration served our military and held them to a high standard while the current administration weakens the standards, reduces our strengths, and demoralizes the rank and file.
Afghanistan, Under Biden, this was a completely botched operation that led to the death of 13 beautiful service members. While the previous administration initiated the withdraw from Afghanistan, they had a PLAN. Biden’s incompetence led to the deaths of our soldiers, disgraced the US military and not to mention left US citizens behind along with billions in equipment. The lack of leadership cost service members their lives and showed the world a US weakness they would not have seen under Trump.
Demoralizing the troops. Under the current administration there were forced vaccine mandates. This heartbreaking policy forced many service members to get the jab including my own brother. My mom cried for days. Under the Biden administration, woke ideologies are pushed in all of the Armed Forces, pronouns are being required and the strong service members who disagree are demoralized and must just take it or get out. By purging our strong, they have made us weak.
China. We all know where Trump was at with China. He treated them as our enemy and stood up to them. Trump as respected by China because they knew he was a man of his word. This projected strength and so the top 2 military dominant countries in the world had a mutual understanding. Biden caters to China, treats them as a friendly partner (maybe they are). This projects weakness and China is all over it and making moves to destroy America. There is no leadership from the current administration when it comes to standing up for the US.
There is no question, our military capability is significantly weaker than the recent past. We have no leadership at the top and we are seen as weak around the world. Without leadership how can we have a strong military with strong capabilities? We can’t Trump built his military, Biden destroys his.

The United States Military was once the most feared and respected militaries in the world. Do we still hold that ranking and reputation? I don’t think we do. At least not to the extent it used to be. I also believe this weaker military is an outcome of the choices of the current administration. This can be argued with the points of the war in Ukraine, Diversity Equality Inclusion Training, and the recent Exodus of the military from Afghanistan. There are many more points that could be recognized to answer this question, but I will stick to these three for this essay. I also would like to add that I believe the strength of our military has a lot to do with leadership in the military hierarchy, the US government leadership (most particularly the Executive office), and the current economy. First, I will discuss this topic with the issue of the war in Ukraine in mind. On February 24, 2022, President of Russia, Vladimir Putin went through with his treats and sent a military invasion into the neighboring country, Ukraine. Because of Russia’s numerous threats over the years, Ukraine has not joined NATO, because that would cause extended problems between the two countries. Thus, Ukraine was not obligated for assistance from other NATO countries, mostly the US. However, the current administration decided to send $75 billion to the eastern European country in the form of financial aid, military aid, security, and grants. Graining our own supply of military resources, this leaves not only the US military weaker, but also the economy. Promising even more aid in the form of military vehicles, satellite services, coastal defense, =drones, aircraft and much more to the Baltic state, Biden is looking to further weaken our own military by an extreme factor. Secondly, I want to briefly discuss the military’s Diversity Equality Training program. This program, supposedly meant for the strengthening of military personnel, only breeds division among the ranks. The military has always been “Mission First, People Always,“ but shouldn’t we know how to effectively defend this country from foreign invaders a the drop of a hot, not needing to focus on what makes us different? This attribute of the US military only shapes the organization into a “woke” military. I’m sure that’s not what at all what we want, even though many in Washington would disagree. The military used to be built upon strong core values, representing the country it protects and the ideals the country was founded on. Now Like many other groups and organizations, victims of the 21st century, the military is more interested in making everyone feel included than protecting our borders. Whereas the true values of the military should already make all its members feel included, including in one common goal, protecting America to whatever extent. Lastly, I will discuss the issue of the US military leaving Afghanistan. Biden pulled out troops from Afghanistan was a move that makes the US look very weak. We were there, occupying Bagram Airforce Base, for 20 years, then we just left basically giving the country over to Taliban rule. Not to mention bringing 23,000 Afghan refugees to the United States to find peace and freedom from the Taliban thus making our economy suffer even more than it already was. It would be interesting to know what our top enemies think of our military’s strength because of this decision, I don’t think it gives them a picture of a strong and capable military, if you ask me. This is extremely sad sight to be leaving many vulnerable to the rule of terrorists. It was a very bad move on the government’s part and should’ve been critically discussed thought about before enacting. Overall, from poor choices of the American government, the “woke initiative,” and the wasting of resources, equipment, and funds, I believe the United States military is much weaker than it once was, and sadly it seems there is nothing currently changing to make that any better.
